Everything you need to know about LU.Chronicles — India’s first student-run university daily
What is LU.Chronicles?
LU.Chronicles is the independent, student-run daily of the University of Lucknow — and India’s first daily newsletter led entirely by students. It covers news, opinion, culture, campus affairs, and more, with new stories published daily and monthly special issues.
Who runs LU.Chronicles?
LU.Chronicles is published by LU.LitCore, the Literary Society of the University of Lucknow. The newsroom is entirely student-led, with writers, editors, photographers, and designers from across disciplines contributing.
Who can write for LU.Chronicles?
Any student from the University of Lucknow or its affiliated colleges can write for LU.Chronicles. You don’t need to be a literature or journalism student — curiosity and clarity matter more than credentials.
Do I need prior experience to join?
Not at all. We welcome both first-time writers and experienced contributors. If you’re willing to learn, research, and write with integrity — you belong here.
How can I contribute?
You can:
- Apply to join the newsroom as a permanent member
- Submit a one-time article or column
- Share a story idea, lead, or campus tip
Email us at theluchronicles@gmail.com or visit the “Join the Team” section on our website.
What kind of stories do you publish?
We publish News, Opinion, Arts & Culture, Politics, Society, Business, and Campus Affairs. Our stories include investigative features, interviews, essays, reviews, and commentary.
Is LU.Chronicles affiliated with the university administration?
LU.Chronicles operates independently under LU.LitCore. We represent the student voice of the University of Lucknow, but our editorial decisions remain autonomous and guided by journalistic ethics — not institutional directives.
What are your editorial principles?
Integrity, inquiry, and imagination. We believe in accurate reporting, fair representation, transparent correction, and a clear distinction between news and opinion.
Can faculty members contribute?
Yes. While the paper primarily amplifies student voices, we welcome guest columns and essays from faculty members that enrich academic and civic discourse.
How often do you publish?
We publish stories and editorials daily, with monthly themed issues and special editions around university events, festivals, and national days.
What should I do if I find an error in a story?
If you spot an error, email us at theluchronicles@gmail.com with the article link and details. Verified corrections are updated promptly with a note indicating the revision.
Can LU.Chronicles collaborate with other student bodies or media outlets?

Can I write political articles for LU.Chronicles?
